Our Causes

We are committed to giving hope and transforming lives through three primary causes: providing healthcare, supporting education, and promoting cancer awareness.

Medical Mission

FAF sends teams of volunteer doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other health professionals to medically under-served communities in Africa.

We provide holistic care that include medical, vision, and dental care. The foundation medical mission focus on chronic diseases and conditions that often go undetected and untreated among those who cannot afford the cost of healthcare: Hypertension, Diabetes, Malaria, Breast and Colon Cancer, Heart Disease, Stroke Prevention, among other conditions.

We hold different services during each annual medical mission such as Eye Clinic, Pharmacy and Prescription services, Dental and Massage therapy. We also provide preventive education through culturally sensitive instruction to help sustain good health in the communities.

Eye Clinic Service

For the Eye Clinic Session, Opticians and Volunteers were present to attend to participants for the duration of 5 days. The total numbers of participants at the eye clinic were 1498 who received Prescription glasses, Eyes drops and reading glasses.

Precious Sight Foundation is a foundation that is dedicated to the treatment of eye diseases and was one of the partners for Mission 2021 outreach.

Pharmacy & Prescription Services

The Pharmacy session had pharmaceutical professionals and volunteers who attended to participants for the duration of 5 days during which drugs and medications were provided to all beneficiaries.

Dental Service

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy known as the deep tissue massage was also given to individuals who attended the session from little babies, children, middle aged and elderly ones.

Massage Therapy session recorded 197 participants during the 5 days duration of the Mission 2021 Outreach.

Education Trust Fund

The Education Trust Fund (ETF) supports education development in Africa by providing scholarships, small grants, and in-kind assistance to help students, schools, and other learning institutions achieve quality education goals.

ETF grants are given for curriculum-based projects, instructional resources, and school improvements.

The LEAP Scholarship Award (Leading and Empowering Academic Progress) is given to African students pursuing higher education goals.

By providing these resources and educational programs, we empower the next generation of leaders, enabling them to reach their full potential and contribute positively to their communities.

Cancer Awareness

Colon cancer is the most diagnosed cancer disease and the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States among men and women. Colon cancer treatment is most efficient when the cancer is detected early with colonoscopy screenings. In memory of Funmi Adewole, FAF continues the fight against colon cancer to promote awareness and raise funds for treatment and research that will lead to curing the disease. Your donation to the Funmi Adewole Foundation partnering with a government-approved agency helps to create awareness and further research to continue to drive progress against cancer.
