The Funmi Adewole Foundation is dedicated to transforming lives and providing hope to those in need. Our mission is to make a significant impact on healthcare, education, and cancer awareness, ensuring that underserved communities receive the support they deserve.
We envision a world where every individual, regardless of their circumstances, has access to healthcare, education, and the knowledge needed to fight cancer. Through our dedicated efforts, we aim to create lasting change and improve the quality of life for countless individuals and families.
The foundation was established in honor of Funmi Adewole, a compassionate nurse practitioner who devoted her life to the cause of healthcare in Africa. Inspired by her unwavering commitment, we strive to carry forward her legacy by focusing on three core areas.
WOMAN | EDUCATOR | MENTOR
The Funmi Adewole Foundation was borne out of a vision to reach underserved
communities by my late wife Funmilayo Adewole which was jointly experimented for a few years before her transition to glory. After her transition in 2013, the Funmi Adewole Foundation was formally inaugurated in consultation with some brethren in Jesus House Chicago.
It has been 11 years of since inception, and we have done medical missions on a
yearly basis serving various communities in different parts of Nigeria. We have
provided free basic healthcare services – medical, dental and eye care to over 21k
people, giving out free medication, prescription and reading glasses, dental
provides scaling and polishing, tooth extraction. We also provide school supplies
and this include, bags, exercise books, pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, and so on.
As part of our commitment to education, we provide education scholarship to
deserving candidates and also conduct cancer awareness and health education at all these annual outreaches.
Providing free basic health care to underserved communities across Africa, supporting quality education in the continent through an education trust fund, and promoting cancer awareness initiatives in the United States and Africa.
